I was just in Boulder with to my good friend who has been at CP&B for a year or so now and we were talking about the recent (August) crowdsourcing experiment that they conducted for Brammo motorcycles.

I'm sure you have heard about this...they used a well known crowdsourcing design site to call for new logo ideas with a $1000 prize on the line, tons of designers (I don't know the exact number) created spec work for them. From what I he told me, they did not end up using any of these logos, though they did award some prize money. The backlash from the design community was staggering.

Is this maybe just another ingenious way to create buzz?

I am wayyy behind on this story ( I have just been reading your archives), but I look forward to hearing more about how this project went or is going, do you have any more information?
